Capoeira Time!

Sascha was on Channel 10 One HD last week performing Capoeria for Thursday Night Live with Grupo Capoeira Brasil, check out these great highlights! Sascha loves Capoeria for many reasons, 'Capoeira comes from Brasil (1800's) where African slaves developed a style of fighting that they disguised as a dance as they were forbidden to defend themselves in any way. The art form, traditions, history, music, the martial arts and spirituality involved are beautiful and amazing.  As an actor the physicality and spiritual aspects are definitely strengths that I can use and call upon.'

Sascha's a big supporter for the new change in Prime Minister, Julia Gillard! Yay! to Girlpower!

It's been an incredible week for Australian politics as Julia Gillard has been announced  Australia's new Prime Minister.. Over the past several years, as Deputy Prime Minister, Gillard has proven to be a tough politician with, as John Hays puts it, ‘…the common touch, a pleasant disposition and the ability to communicate simply, clearly and effectively.’ 

'This is a huge step for women and makes me feel really proud of my country, Australia' Sascha says.
